Perfusion Experts was founded in December 2016 by Gerdy Debeuckelaere, Xavier Bechtold and Dominique Vionne, with the ambition to provide highly qualified perfusion expertise to cardiac surgery teams.
Our first activity started in the heart of Brussels, where we began supporting hospitals with experienced perfusion specialists dedicated to patient safety and clinical excellence.
Since those early beginnings, Perfusion Experts has steadily grown.
What started as a focused initiative has developed into a trusted partner for several cardiac surgery programs.
Over the years, additional hospitals joined, allowing us to expand our activities beyond Belgium.
Today, Perfusion Experts is also active in multiple hospitals in France, continuing to support cardiac teams with skilled perfusionists who combine clinical expertise, reliability, and a strong commitment to quality of care.
Every perfusionist at Perfusion Experts maintains ECCP status (European Certificate in Cardiovascular Perfusion).
This certification confirms that our specialists meet strict European standards for training, clinical competence, and continuous professional development, ensuring the highest level of quality and safety in cardiopulmonary bypass care.

Our first client was Kliniek Sint-Jan in Brussels, whose trust in Perfusion Experts at the very beginning of our journey helped shape the foundation of our company.

Hôpital Erasme in Brussels became our second partner at the beginning of 2017, further strengthening the foundation of Perfusion Experts in cardiac perfusion services.
Perfusion Experts is also active at CHU Tivoli in La Louvière, supporting cardiac surgery and serving patients across the Hainaut region.

Perfusion Experts also supports the cardiac surgery program at Cliniques de l’Europe in Uccle, contributing our expertise to patient care in the southern part of Brussels.
Perfusion Experts currently provides temporary perfusion support to the Cliniques Universitaires Saint-Luc in Brussels, one of Belgium’s largest university hospitals.
Perfusion Experts also provides support at the University Hospital Antwerp (UZA), contributing to the delivery of high-quality cardiovascular care.
AP-HP in Paris was our first partner in France, where we provide high-quality perfusion services within one of Europe’s largest pediatric and neonatal cardiac surgery departments.
Perfusion Experts is also active at CHU de Besançon in eastern France, supporting cardiac care in a region close to the Swiss border.
Since 2025, Perfusion Experts has also been active at CHU de Rennes in western France, a high-volume cardiac center that relies on our high-quality perfusion services.
From the very beginning, Perfusion Experts has also supported another private perfusion group in maintaining high-quality services at Jolimont Hospital in La Louvière.
Perfusion Experts also collaborates with Medanex (part of the NAMSA group), providing perfusion-related services when required in experiment clinical trial setting.
